This album is about having fun with your friends who are similarly inclined to have a sick sense of humor. What started as Wendy playing a couple songs she wrote on a ukulele warped into a collaborative comedy effort between she and her musically inclined friends (the Man Band) in the Philadelphia Comedy scene. The Mean Wendy Band EP takes songs of different genres, makes you think you're listening to a pop song on the radio, then socks you with some unexpected humor in the form of Wendy's dulcet tones. It's the best kind of guilty pleasure.
